Getting here from Newark

Straight up the A46 — and you stop before Lincoln

Join the A46 at Newark and follow it north-east. It's a fast, mostly dual-carriageway run of about 15 miles.

Here's the useful part: our workshop is on Farrier Road, off Whisby Road in the south-west of Lincoln. Coming from Newark you reach us before you'd hit Lincoln city centre — no High Street, no Brayford one-way system, no city parking.

In practice most Newark customers are parked up in around twenty minutes door to door.

Why Newark drivers come to Lincoln for tinting

Newark is well served for garages, but specialist tinting is a different trade — it needs a clean, dust-free indoor bay, a pattern database for your exact model, and someone who does it every day rather than occasionally.

That's all we do. Every car is tinted indoors at our purpose-built workshop, cut by machine rather than by blade, and backed by a lifetime guarantee. For a twenty-minute drive, most people decide that's worth it.

  • Fitted indoors in a purpose-built workshop
  • Cut by machine to your exact make and model
  • Lifetime guarantee on every tint
  • Road-legal, checked before we start

How dark do you want to go?

There's no legal limit on the rear half — it's entirely down to the look you want. Send a photo of your car before you set off and we'll tell you what suits it.

FAQs

Newark questions

Is it worth driving from Newark rather than going to Nottingham?

Nottingham is roughly double the distance and you'll be dealing with city traffic at both ends. We're 15 miles up the A46 with free parking on site and no city centre to navigate. Most Newark customers are back on the road the same day.

How much does car window tinting cost?

It depends on the vehicle and how many windows. As a rough guide, a rear half tint on a standard hatchback starts from around £100–£150; SUVs and vans are a bit more.

Send a photo and your reg to 07796 822574 and we'll come back with a real price the same day — worth doing before you set off from Newark.

Is car window tinting legal in the UK?

Tinting the rear half is completely legal with no limit on how dark you go — rear windscreen, rear side windows and quarter lights included.

The front is capped: the windscreen must let 75% of light through and front side windows 70%. Most factory glass already sits at those limits, so we check before we start and won't fit anything that puts you the wrong side of the law.

Will tinted windows pass an MOT?

Yes. The MOT only tests light transmission on the front windscreen and front side windows. We tint the rear half, so your car passes with no issues.

Do your tints come with a guarantee?

Every tint carries a lifetime guarantee covering bubbling, peeling, fading and discolouration. If the film ever fails we redo it at no cost — which matters rather more when you've driven 15 miles to have it done.

How long before I can put my windows down?

Leave them up for at least 15 days so the film cures and bonds properly. It won't peel off instantly if you have to open one in an emergency, but the longer you leave them the better the final result.
