Yes — tinting your rear windows is completely legal in the UK, and there's no limit on how dark you can go on the rear half of the vehicle. The back windscreen, rear side windows, and quarter lights can all be tinted as dark as you like.

The only restriction is on the front windscreen (must allow 75% of light through) and front side windows (must allow 70% through). Most factory glass already sits right at these limits, so any additional tint on the front windows would be illegal. We always check before we start and we'll never fit anything that puts you on the wrong side of the law.

Yes — tinted rear windows won't affect your MOT at all. The MOT test only checks light transmission on the front windscreen and front side windows. Since we only tint the rear half of the vehicle, your car will pass with no issues.

Most vehicles are done in around 2 to 3 hours, depending on the size and number of windows. You're welcome to drop your car off and we'll let you know as soon as it's ready — our workshop is just off the A46 in Lincoln so it's easy to get to.

We recommend keeping your windows up for at least 15 days after installation to let the film cure and bond properly. If you absolutely need to open a window in an emergency, it won't peel off instantly — but the longer you leave them up, the better the final result.

Not with us. Bubbling and peeling are signs of cheap film or poor installation — two things you won't find here. We use professional-grade film with full surface preparation before every application.

Wait 5 to 7 days before cleaning the inside of your windows to let the film fully cure. After that, use a soft cloth with a standard glass cleaner — nothing abrasive or ammonia-based. We clean your glass before the car leaves our workshop, so you're covered for the first few days.

Yes — window tint can be removed, but we'd strongly recommend leaving it to a professional. DIY removal often damages the glass or leaves behind a sticky adhesive residue that's a nightmare to clean off.

If you've had a bad tint job done elsewhere or you've got old film that's starting to go, we can remove it cleanly and retint the car properly so it looks the way it should.
