Why tint your car?
It looks good — but that's the least of what it does.
UV protection & less glare
Blocks up to 99% of harmful UV rays, protecting you and your passengers from sun damage. It also cuts glare from the road and oncoming headlights, which means less eye strain and fatigue on longer journeys.
Cooler cabin, less aircon
A tinted cabin stays noticeably cooler, so you lean on the air conditioning less — better fuel economy, and less sun damage to your seats and trim. Kids and pets in the back feel the difference most.
Privacy & added safety
Darker rear tints make it much harder for opportunists to see what's in your car. The film also holds glass together if it's smashed — in a break-in or an accident, that means fewer flying shards.
Which tint is right for your car?
There's no legal limit on how dark the rear half can go — it's entirely down to the look you want. Send us a photo of your car and we'll tell you what suits it.
What the law actually says
We check every vehicle before we start, and we'll never fit anything that puts you the wrong side of it.
Rear half — no limit
The rear windscreen, rear side windows and quarter lights can be tinted as dark as you like. There is no legal restriction at all.
This is where most people go 20% or darker.
Front — strictly capped
The front windscreen must let 75% of light through, and front side windows 70%.
Most factory glass already sits right at those limits, which means extra film on the fronts would be illegal. We'll tell you straight rather than take the booking.
Cut by machine, not by blade
We use a digital cutting system that images and cuts each pattern to your exact make and model. No blades near your glass, no hand-cutting, no risk to your paint or rubbers.
Our pattern database is extensive and constantly updated, covering modern and older vehicles alike — so whatever you drive, there's usually a perfect fit ready to go.
Once cut, the film is bonded and shrink-fitted to the glass. That normally takes around two hours, though it varies a little by make and model.

Car tinting questions
How much does car window tinting cost?
It depends on the vehicle and how many windows you want done. As a rough guide, a rear half tint on a standard hatchback starts from around £100–£150; SUVs and vans are a bit more.
We'd rather give you an accurate price than a vague estimate — send a photo and your reg to 07796 822574 and we'll come back the same day.
Can I tint my front windows?
Almost never, legally. Front side windows must let 70% of light through and the windscreen 75%. Most factory glass already sits at those limits, so adding film would put you over.
We check before we start. If it can't be done legally on your car, we'll tell you rather than take the booking.
Will tinted windows pass an MOT?
Yes. The MOT only checks light transmission on the front windscreen and front side windows. Since we tint the rear half, your car passes with no issues.
How long does it take?
Around two to three hours for most vehicles, depending on size and how many windows. Drop the car off and we'll message you as soon as it's ready.
Are your tints guaranteed?
Every tint carries a lifetime guarantee covering bubbling, peeling, fading and discolouration. If the film ever fails, we redo it at no cost.
We only use professional-grade film, so the cheap purple-fade you see on budget tints simply doesn't happen.
How long until I can put my windows down?
Leave them up for at least 15 days so the film cures and bonds properly. If you absolutely have to open one in an emergency it won't peel off instantly, but the longer you leave them the better the final result.
Can I clean the windows afterwards?
Wait 5 to 7 days before cleaning the inside of the glass. After that, use a soft cloth and a standard glass cleaner — nothing abrasive and nothing ammonia-based. We clean the glass before the car leaves us, so you're covered for the first few days.
Can you remove old window tint?
Yes, and we'd strongly recommend leaving it to us. DIY removal often damages the glass or leaves a sticky adhesive residue that's a nightmare to shift — and on rear screens you risk taking the demister elements with it.
If you've had a poor job done elsewhere, or bought a car with illegal tints on it, we can strip the old film cleanly and retint it properly.
Where do you cover?
We're at 3 Farrier Road, Lincoln, LN6 3RU — just off the A46 with easy access from the A1 and A15. Customers travel to us regularly from Newark, Sleaford, Gainsborough, Horncastle, Boston and Scunthorpe.
